Labor Day Rally in the Park – Clarkston – September 7
On September 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, LC Valley Indivisible and Nez Perce County Democrats will co-host a Labor Day Rally at Vernon Park in Clarkston. The event will feature information tables, music, and themes centered on worker rights. Attendees may also protest peacefully along the sidewalk.
ID/WA Democratic Women Hosting Candidates on September 14
The Idaho / Washington Democratic Women will meet on Monday, September 14 2026, at the Hells Canyon Grand Hotel in Lewiston. Democratic candidates, including Kaylee Peterson, have been invited to provide updates on their campaigns. The meeting is open to all, with lunch available.
Protesters Popped-Up in Lewiston
On August 20, LC Valley Indivisible held a pop-up protest in Lewiston, attracting several dozen participants. The rally focused on two current issues: ICE’s plan to buy electric-shock gloves and health concerns for service members on the USS Abraham Lincoln.
District 6 and 7 Candidates Join Forces to Fight Hunger at Idaho Foodbank
On July 30th, legislative candidates from Districts 6 and 7 collaborated to address regional food insecurity by volunteering at the Idaho Foodbank in Lewiston. They packaged 2,000 pounds of pasta for local distribution, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in combatting hunger, a shared concern transcending political boundaries.
Fall Cash Drive for Community Action Partnership Food Bank
Nez Perce County Democrats are sponsoring a fundraising drive for the Community Action Partnership Food Bank in Lewiston, aiming to support local families in need. Donations allow the Food Bank to purchase food at discounts, maximizing their impact. Monetary donations are being collected until October 31, 2026.
Celebrate the Grand Opening of the Nez Perce County Courthouse – June 30
The Nez Perce County courthouse opened in June 2025, with its exterior finishing delayed due to supply chain issues. The building merges historical and modern design, featuring old records and classic furniture. The Grand Opening is scheduled for June 30, 2026, with public tours and events throughout the day.
Highlights from the Nez Perce Democrats Annual Picnic
We held our Annual Picnic at Hereth Park June 17, where around 60 attendees enjoyed a potluck dinner, and a lively Dessert Auction that raised $2,400 for local candidates. Candidates for Idaho Legislature shared their platforms, with Dr. Becky Sundin Mitchell, running for Education Superintendent, as a special guest.
“All of US: Truth, Equality, Freedom” rally and “Pride at the Park” – Saturday, June 27
LC Valley Indivisible will hold a one-hour rally on June 27 to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary. The event aims to unite individuals against civil rights rollbacks and promote historical awareness. Participants are also encouraged to attend the subsequent “Pride at the Park” event nearby.
