5th Annual Student Democracy Day at LCSC – July 23
On July 23, 2026, Lewis Clark State College will host its 5th Annual Student Democracy Day, open to all with pre-registration. Activities include engaging civic concepts, visits to the Lewiston City Hall and Tribune, and a behind-the-scenes tour at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories.
LCVI Hosting “Double Duty Day for Democracy” – July 18th in Clarkston
LC Valley Indivisible is organizing a one-day voter education and action event on July 18th. Attendees can choose between a sidewalk rally and postcard writing from 1-3 pm in Clarkston. The event aims to promote voting awareness and education, with materials and support available.

Celebrate the Grand Opening of the Nez Perce County Courthouse – June 30
The Nez Perce County courthouse opened in June 2025, with its exterior finishing delayed due to supply chain issues. The building merges historical and modern design, featuring old records and classic furniture. The Grand Opening is scheduled for June 30, 2026, with public tours and events throughout the day.
Highlights from the Nez Perce Democrats Annual Picnic
We held our Annual Picnic at Hereth Park June 17, where around 60 attendees enjoyed a potluck dinner, and a lively Dessert Auction that raised $2,400 for local candidates. Candidates for Idaho Legislature shared their platforms, with Dr. Becky Sundin Mitchell, running for Education Superintendent, as a special guest.
“All of US: Truth, Equality, Freedom” rally and “Pride at the Park” – Saturday, June 27
LC Valley Indivisible will hold a one-hour rally on June 27 to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary. The event aims to unite individuals against civil rights rollbacks and promote historical awareness. Participants are also encouraged to attend the subsequent “Pride at the Park” event nearby.
Terri Pickens Advocates for Idaho’s Future at Lewiston Meet and Greet
Nez Perce County Democrats hosted a “meet and greet” with Terri Pickens, Democratic candidate for Idaho Governor, on June 13 in Lewiston, attracting 35 attendees. Terri spoke about the key issues that Idaho and Idahoans face in the future and talked with individuals and small groups.
