Nez Perce and Latah County Democrats Marched in the Lewiston Roundup Parade

We had two pickup trucks, a scooter, a boat, a big trailer and a little trailer. Oh…and we also had a lot of fun!

On Saturday, September 12, a group of Democrats from Nez Perce and Latah Counties assembled on Snake Rive Avenue to line up for the annual Lewiston Roundup Parade.

We had quite a caravan.

George Grenley’s white pickup towed a trailer with District 6 and 7 candidates and other supporters, seated and waving to the crowd. It was followed by Robin’s Weldy’s truck towing a boat with campaign slogans hanging from fishing poles. And at the end was Larry Nostrant, riding a green and white scooter and towing a campaign sign.

Robin Weldy and Kathy Dawes walked alongside the caravan and handed out almost 1,000 small American flags to kids along the route.

The inflatable blue man on the back of the trailer delighted the kids whenever he was deflated to pass under overhead wires and then jumped back up when he was in the clear.

Overall, it was a great morning where we showed our neighbors that Democrats are here, that we have a full slate of candidates for the midterm elections. And most of all, that we know how to have some fun!
