AI seems to be everywhere these days. It is a controversial technology, with significant potential for misuse and harm.

It is also a useful tool, that , when used thoughtfully and sparingly, can improve our output.

We use AI tools for specific purposes in creating content for this website, our newsletter, and other activities of the Communications Committee. These include:

• Early-stage brainstorming for article ideas, position papers, and other materials.
  
• Generating headlines and excerpts for articles.
  
• Creating graphics and images where none exist in other sources to illustrate ideas in our articles.
  
• Troubleshooting and solving technical issues with the website.

AI output is never used “as-is”.

AI output is always reviewed, tested, and edited by a member of our editorial team to ensure that the final product is accurate, appropriate, and reflects our voice and opinions.
