Vote Absentee: Secure Your Vote in Idaho

The Idaho Democratic Party has started a campaign to emphasize the importance of voting absentee. You may have only thought of this as an option if you’re traveling, but there are good reasons for everyone to consider it. These include:

  • Requesting a ballot ensures that your vote will be counted, no matter what emergencies come up on Election Day (a flat tire, illness, etc.).
  • This is a secure way to vote.
  • You can return your ballot by mail, drop it in an official elections drop box, or deliver it to your county elections office by 8pm on Election Day, November 3, 2026.
  • You can track the receipt of your ballot online, which you can’t do on Election Day.
  • Absentee voting saves Democratic campaign dollars and stretches our resources further. When you sign up for a ballot, you get taken off the lists for Get Out the Vote mailers, digital ads, phone calls and door knocks.

Absentee ballots must be requested by October 23, 2026.
