On Saturday, October 4, 2025, the Idaho Democratic Party and Region 1 and 2 Democrats will sponsor the first ever Cecil B. Andrus Symposium at the Coeur d’Alene Casino in Worley, Idaho. The event honors Cecil D. Andrus, one of Idaho’s greatest governors, and gives northern Idahoans a great opportunity to get to know each other and take action to turn our state around.
Now we must look ahead. We must prepare ourselves to fight and win new battles, to press the great and just cause of improving the human condition.

A description of the event
The full day event will feature a great lineup of speakers in the morning, including Luke Mayville of Reclaim Idaho, Melanie Folwell of Idahoans United for Women and Families, MaMaw’s Porch ‘n Politics, and current Idaho legislators sharing the latest on how recent Idaho Legislative actions will affect us all.
Lunch will be a “build your own” taco bar.
In the afternoon, a variety of activities will include
- Action Stations with ways to get involved like postcard writing, dynamic grassroots organization tables, opportunities to speak with current legislators and candidates for office.
- Fabulous FUNdraising games like Idaho bingo, a poker walk on the beautiful resort trails or competitive cornhole
- A silent auction featuring hand-crafted one-of-a-kind items by local artisans and crafters
After a late afternoon dinner, the evening session will begin with a welcome from Chief J. Allen of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, followed by a live auction fundraiser. The evening session concludes with a lineup of speakers including Idaho Rep. Monica Church (Gov. Andrus”s granddaughter), candidates Terri Pickens, David Roth, Kaylee Peterson and others.
