Thank you, Nez Perce, Latah, and Lewis Counties!
A message of gratitude from your Senate nominee.
Dear Neighbors and Friends,
I am incredibly humbled, honored, and deeply grateful to have earned your trust and your vote to become the Democratic nominee for the Idaho State Senate in District 6.
Running for office is a team effort, and this victory belongs to everyone who knocked on doors, made phone calls, hosted events, and shared our vision for the future of our district. To every voter who took the time to cast a ballot in Latah, Lewis, and Nez Perce counties: thank you for making your voice heard and for investing in the future of the place we call home.
As a Lewiston native, my commitment to this region runs deep. This primary campaign has been about listening to what matters most to you. I’ve heard you loud and clear on the issues that impact our daily lives: we must fully fund and protect our public education system, keep our public lands open and accessible, and build real pathways to housing affordability.
I have also heard your call for real public safety and the protection of our civil rights. True public safety means building communities where accountability, justice, and peace go hand in hand. Our neighbors should never have to fear being detained or shot in their own streets. Everyone in our community deserves to feel secure in their neighborhood, knowing their constitutional rights and dignity are respected.
Furthermore, I firmly believe in personal freedom and privacy—medical decisions belong strictly between a patient and their doctor, free from government intrusion. In Boise, I will fight to restore common sense to our laws and protect the right of families and medical professionals to make the best choices for their own lives.
While we celebrate this milestone today, our work is just beginning. The primary was step one. Now, we turn our focus to November and the general election. I will continue advocating for local control, supporting our working families, and ensuring that District 6 has a strong, pragmatic voice in state government.
I look forward to meeting many more of you on the campaign trail over the coming months. Let’s keep this momentum going, stay focused, and win this together in November.
With my deepest gratitude,
Robin Weldy
Democratic Nominee for Idaho State Senate, District 6
