If you live in Nez Perce County, you might be confused about which legislative district you’re in. Part of the county is in District 6, the rest of the county is in District 7. This can make it difficult to identify which candidates for Idaho Senate and House will be representing you.
The Idaho Legislature publishes district maps, but they don’t provide enough detail to help.
Fortunately, you can find out your district at voteidaho.gov on the Voter Profile page. Here’s how to do it.
Step 1: Open the Voter Profile page. Fill in your name and birthdate, click the check box for “I’m not a robot”, then click “Search”.
Step 2: If you are a registered voter, your profile should be displayed. Click on the dropdown arrow to the right of “Districts”.
Step 3: Your district information is displayed.
“Congressional District” is the district you vote in for U.S. House of Representatives.
“Legislative District” is the district you vote in for Idaho Senate and House.
Now you can do your research about candidates and their positions before you go to the polls.
