On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Nez Perce County Democrats will host a Forum for candidates in the upcoming Lewiston city election. The event will be held at the AFL-CIO Union Hall at 1618 Idaho Street in Lewiston from 7:00pm until 8:30pm.  The Forum will take the place of the NPC Dems regular monthly meeting.

All candidates for Mayor and City Council have been invited.  At press time, both mayoral candidates – Dan Johnson and Darlene Lambert – had confirmed their participation.  Three of the seven City Council candidates – Bob Blakey, Linda Glines, and Bryan Moree – have also agreed to participate.

In addition to the candidates, Shannon Grow, the Community Development Director for the City of Lewiston, will speak about the Special Bond Election that is on the ballot.

Each candidate will be given an opportunity to introduce themself.  The floor will then be open for questions from the audience, with each candidate given an opportunity to respond.

Pete Gertonson, NPC Dems Chairman, will be the moderator for the event.  The Forum will also be livestreamed over Zoom.  Here’s the Zoom link: http://bit.ly/4qeXMx0

The Candidates Forum is free and open to the public.  We hope to see you there!
