“Save Our Schools” Town Halls in Lewiston, Moscow, and Grangeville

Idaho lawmakers recently passed a $50 million program that uses tax dollars to fund private school tuition. Opponents of this law have estimated that the costs could rise to $339 million a year, amounting to over $3 billion in taxpayer funds over the next decade.

Save Our Schools Idaho is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing information, data, and education to the people of Idaho about education savings accounts, vouchers, and similar policies aimed at dismantling our neighborhood schools.  They are sponsoring a series of Town Hall meetings across the state to raise awareness about the potential cost increases in the school voucher program and to give citizens the opportunity to hear from and ask questions of local education leaders and elected officials.  

There are three events happening in our area:

Lewiston, September 23, 6:30 – 8:00pm at Lewiston High School
