The ID/WA Democratic Women will hold their annual picnic on Monday, July 7, 2025 from 11:30am to 1:30pm at Hereth Park, 1534 Powers Ave in Lewiston. Everyone is invited to attend.
The picnic will substitute for a July meeting – it’s a time to get together to socialize and just have fun – no speaker, no agenda, just a chance to get to know each other better.
You do not need to be a member of the group to attend.
Here are some details:
- Please bring a salad to share if you are able. But with or without food, come and join us. No doubt there will be plenty for all.
- Bring a lawn chair if you wish – it might be more comfortable and we can move them around for maximum socialization opportunities. Again, there are picnic tables already there, so if you don’t bring a chair, we got you covered!
- Bring your own beverage – but we will have water available if you forget.
- If you have guests to invite, please bring them along. Plan to mingle and meet new members.
The organizers will provide tableware and homemade cookies for dessert, so we have the sweets covered.

Thank you for inviting me as a new member. I signed up at the Democratic picnic at Hereth Park (that must be why I received this email.) I have strong feelings about what we as Democrats MUST do to GET BACK the freedoms and equality we have been fighting for all or our lives. I’m afraid I want more than a luncheon with no speaker, no agenda, playing nice. Can we do MORE? Jennifer

Thanks for your comment and question. Yes, we can do more! We have a new protest rally being planned for July 17 – the anniversary of John Lewis’ death. An announcement about that will follow later today.
Also, the NPC Dems Central Committee meets on Wednesday, July 30 at 7pm in the AFL-CIO Labor Temple at 1618 Idaho St in Lewiston. That’s a good opportunity to meet other Dems, hear more about activities in the area, and find ways to get more involved.
